H.R. 1908, Patent Reform Act of 2007, was passed by the House of Representatives on September 7, 2007.
The Senate version, S. 1145, was reported by the Senate Judiciary Committee on January 24, 2007. The Sentate has not yet voted on the bill.
There has been significant opposition to some of its provisions.
Accordingly, the rules of patent law described in the Second Edition of the Outline have not yet changed.
